Afan Valley Adventure Holiday Park

The proposed development of the Adventure Holiday Parc, Afan Valley is located between Cymmer in the Afan Valley, Caerau and Brynheulog in the Maesteg Valley and is situated approximately 6 miles north west of junction 40 of the M4 motorway. The site is a forestry woodland area extending to approximately 192 hectares, (469 acres), and has good vehicular access to the regional and national road network.

The whole ethos behind the design of the proposed development is to take advantage of the existing natural environment, enhance it wherever possible with both the buildings and landscape of the new development.

This will, when properly implemented, not only protect the landscape for the future by encompassing it within a high quality sustainable enterprise, but also provide leisure facilities for the local residents, create an employment base and give beneficial support to the economy of the local community.

The proposals will provide not only a prestigious leisure facility for a clientele attracted from all over the UK and Europe, but will also offer an exciting opportunity to create and properly manage a large, relatively upland site, a primary aim of which will be to maintain and enhance its ecological interest and importance.
